Our research group works at the intersection of genetics, data science, and statistics to understand the genetics of complex traits. While our research seeks to increase knowledge about the biology of living organisms per se, our main interest lies in how we can exploit this information to implement precision medicine, with accurate phenotype prediction being the main target. Thus, we mainly analyze human data, although we also use data from model organisms such as fruit flies to answer questions that are not easily answerable with human data.
We are located at the Clemson Center for Human Genetics in Greenwood, SC, where we also interact closely with researchers and clinicians at the Greenwood Genetic Center. We are very proud of what we are building and we think that it is a great environment for conducting research!
